Ken's Transport has been in business since 1976. We are a "for hire carrier", traditionally a hauler of dry
bulk materials with 18 Day-Cab Tractors, 8 Sleeper Tractors, 15 Flatbeds (2-Covered Wagons, 2-Conestoga Wagons, and 11 Flatbeds) and 19 Pneumatic Trailers.

We have IFTA authority in thirty four states and they are: AL, AR, CT, DC, DE, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, NH, NJ, NY, OH, OK, PA, RI, SC, TN, VA, VT, WI, WV. Our company does not have authority in Canada. We do not haul Hazardous Materials. The milage, as determined by a computer map, governs our rates. A fuel surcharge will also be included on both our I.C.C. and our P.U.C.O. tariffs. In the future, as fuel prices may modify, so will our surcharge. There is a minimum load charge of 24 tons in the Bulk Tanker business. Our rates are one way, but we do like to pickup on our return if we can work it into our schedule. Our trucks are not set up to discharge the product more than 100 feet as anything over that is too hard on the equipment. Our demurrage is determined per hour after the first 1.5 hours. Our drivers like to come home every night but will stay out if it is necessary.
We have in the past rented trailers out to contractors if we have one available and the rental time is not to long, which is determined by the General Manager and the time of the year when the rental is needed. The rental rate will be determined and bills per day from delivery to pickup. The contractor must supply proof of insurance in case of loss or damage. If the time of the rental is over 2 weeks, we will need a check every 2 weeks. There is a minimum load charge to P/U trailer when the job is complete.
